Fragmentation

In moments of trauma, a state of emotional and mental distress that has not yet been resolved, we dissociate.
When we dissociate, what really happens is that our consciousness splits into a defence self that has found a way of coping with the vulnerability and a self that is vulnerable.

If we don’t have a way to clearly process, resolve and integrate our trauma we then keep dissociating from it. Our sense of selves becomes fragmented and we end up with multiple selves in our body.

The thought that we don’t have multiple personalities is wrong.

How often do you behave completely differently in one scenario than you would in another? Ever felt like parts of yourself was fighting with other parts of your being?

Every body have multiple personalities, but it’s only to which degree.

Your ego has developed multiple inner selves in a way to cope and survive with the world around and to also fit in today’s society.
In truth, our internal state depends on our state of harmony with our internal selves, and the world we see today is a reflection of the inner wars within ourselves.

In the process of reintegration, we allow our consciousness to sit in the middle of it all. To bring attention and awareness without attachment. This slowly starts to create harmony. This leans toward a state of cohesion, a state of oneness and wholeness within yourself.
